We are the UK’s largest multidisciplinary provider of expert witness assessments; completing over 2000 reports each year for clients including solicitors, Courts, local authorities, panels and organisations.
From your first point of contact, we’re able to offer a choice of psychologists, psychiatrists, social workers and paediatricians, all working within Legal Aid rates, with assessments completed within an average timescale of six weeks. If you need a report sooner, get in touch with us to discuss immediate availability.
Our experts are at the heart of the company, our reputation relies on their excellence. We have over 300 experts based across the country who have been subject to a rigorous recruitment process that is compliant with the Ministry of Justice Quality Standards for experts.
Our aim is to make instructing through us as simple as possible; saving you time.
To achieve this we have a 3 stage process:
Referrals: From one call or email, our experienced team will offer you a choice of experts, along with cost estimates and timescales. We ensure that those experts have a skill set tailored to your needs and are local to you. We can do this on the same day, and in as little as 30 minutes if you’re in a hurry.

Case Handlers: Once you have decided upon an expert, your case is passed to our Case Handling Team. They deliver the highest level of administrative support by liaising between you and the expert, making sure timescales are adhered to. They will be your single point of contact for all enquiries.
“We are very happy working with people who have a ‘can do’ attitude; we have always found Carter Brown to have this approach when dealing with our cases” Solicitor, Surrey.
