The Carter Brown story
Carter Brown was founded in 2001 by two Children’s Guardians, who recognised a need for robust, evidence-based assessments within family proceedings. Since this time, working with children and families has been at the heart of what we do, whether in pre-proceedings to inform interventions and tailored support or providing assessments for panels to secure permanency for children.
We have since developed, diversified, and expanded our services across the UK to become the largest provider of expert assessments, widening our specialism to include reporting directly to educational and mental health tribunals, and the court of protection.
