Roger Chapman author of ‘Undertaking a Fostering Assessment’ will present this online, two day training event. It will provide assessors with an overview of the statutory requirements when preparing and presenting reports to a fostering panel.

This course is suitable for experienced assessors wishing to reinvigorate their skills or to those embarking on a career as a fostering social worker. To attend this training you must be a registered social worker with the Health and Care Professionals Council.

The learning objectives for the training event are:

  1. To familiarise participants with all aspects of a Form F assessment
  2. To enable participants to feel confident about undertaking a Form F assessment
  3. To introduce participants to the legal context around fostering assessments
  4. To introduce participants to the Secure Base Model of assessing foster carers
  5. To highlight some of the key lessons from Serious Case Reviews involving foster carers

The course will take place via Zoom, and information will be sent out via email in advance. Please do provide an address for any paper materials to be sent out in advance of the course.

To secure your place, please forward a cheque for the relevant course amount made payable to ‘Carter Brown Associates’ with your completed booking form to the address below. Alternatively, we will accept payment by BACS. Please contact our Accounts Team on 01623 661089 for more details. In the event that we cannot allocate a place, your payment will not be processed and cheques will be destroyed.
Your payment includes a place on the course, including lunch and refreshments only. Any other costs incurred for travel or overnight stays remain the responsibility of the delegate.
Cancellations made in writing before the 7 day cut off point will result a full refund. Those made within 7 days of the event but outside of the 72 hour period prior to the event will result in a fifty percent refund.
Refunds will not be given for any cancellations received within the 72 hour period prior to the event date. If you do not cancel and fail to attend, no refund will be made. Substitutions may be made at any time prior to the event.
Non-registered Delegates
Carter Brown Associates will not accept responsibility for any travel costs or time away from work, so to avoid disappointment, ensure you have received confirmation of your allocated place, as non-registered delegates will regrettably be turned away.
Data Protection
The personal information provided by you will be held by Carter Brown Associates and used to manage your attendance at the training event. The personal data in the database will be retained by Carter Brown Associates unless you request otherwise in writing.
