Kent County Council celebrate their Social Workers

With the sun shining, it’s hard to believe that just over a month ago the so called ‘Beast from the East’ was creating chaos all over the country. As ever the UK was seen to show a great amount of resilience, especially when it came to health and social care professionals getting themselves to work in order to provide the essential services that so many depend on.

On World Social Work day on 20th March, Kent County Council were one of many to celebrate the hard work of their social workers, putting special emphasis on the efforts made by their staff to continue providing their care throughout the wintery weather.

A representative from Kent County Council explained that ‘some social workers stayed overnight or took extra shifts. Others delivered food parcels, cleared paths and in one case walked across the Sheppey Crossing on foot to reach vital appointments’.

This is just one example of the exemplary work and dedication that England’s social workers deliver on a daily basis, and the qualities that we seek out here at Carter Brown during our recruitment process in order to ensure our clients are provided with the best possible service; a service that is streamlined with our own in-house processes.
