Vincent has been a psychologist working with the public since October 1987. Bar a 2 ½ year period during his clinical psychology training, this has consistently focused on offenders. He has written hundreds of official reports for clinical purposes, and almost 400 further legal reports for the criminal justice system. In keeping with his academic expertise, these have primarily focussed on mentally disordered offenders, personality disorder, cognitive assessment, fitness to plead, sexual offending, and violent offending. Vincent left the NHS in December 2000, so his clinical assessment role has been exclusively on legal reports since this time. Vincent now typically completes 12 reports a year.
Vincent has a range of expertise including cognitive assessment, mental capacity, risk assessment (violence and sexual offences), personality and personality disorder, fitness to plead, mental health tribunals, violent extremism, sexual offending, mental health (autistic spectrum disorder, psychosis), sentencing advice and assessment of adult offenders.
