Sarah L has over 14 years of experience working within forensic and clinical settings. She has significant experience in the psychological assessment of individuals in the context of Family Proceedings, having worked for 13 years in a practice specialising in the comprehensive psychological assessments of parents involved in Care Proceedings.

Sarah’s expertise include assessment of adolescents and adults, risk assessment, including intimate partner violence, general violent offending and sexual violence, parenting assessment, including risk assessment of physical, emotional and sexual abuse and intimate partner violence, assessment of adult attachment, assessment of attachment between parents and children, observation of contact between parents and children, assessment of capacity to protect, assessment of cognitive functioning, assessment of capacity (to instruct a solicitor in care proceedings and to agree to adoption), assessment of substance abuse and dependence and the impact on parenting capacity, assessment of mental health and the impact on parenting capacity, assessment of personality disorder and the impact on parenting capacity and risk to self and others, assessment of complex trauma and ptsd and interventions with parents/offenders.
