Dr Melanie C is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist who has been working in health, forensic, and private practice since 2005. She can assess children over 10 and adults with a wide range of psychological difficulties including anxiety, attachment difficulties, depression/ low mood, substance use, low self-esteem, anger, self-harm, psychosis, trauma/ post traumatic stress disorder, fire-setting, dementia, brain injury and personality disorders. She is competent in the assessment of cognitive and intellectual functioning and risk. She is familiar with understanding complex psychological presentations and possible links with risky and/or offending behaviour. She has had additional specialist experience of working with adults with a learning disability, with older adults and with co-existing substance use and mental health problems. She also provides supervision, consultation and training to peers and colleagues, particularly around cognitive functioning, autism, behavioural approaches and interventions, trauma and risk assessment.
