Dr Nichola M

Dr Nichola M has worked with individuals with a diagnosis of personality disorder in a variety of settings including the community, prison and secure mental health settings (low and high security). Her experience includes working with adults with a diagnosis of personality disorder and young people with difficulties relating to attachment disorder / emerging personality disorder.

Dr Nichola’s areas of expertise include: personality disorder (including assessment using IPDE), substance misuse, risk of self-harm / suicide, women’s mental health, women who commit offences (including sexual offending), domestic violence, assessment of psychopathy using PCL-R, assessment of risk of violence using HCR-20, assessment of sexual risk using RSVP, assessment of cognitive function, expert witness assessments, complex case formulation, complex trauma and abuse, risk issues relating to abuse and neglect, motivation and treatability, capacity to change, ability to protect, ability to work with professionals and assessment of family dynamics.
