Adoption

Adoption

We carry out adoption assessments for many local authorities. These include both PAR (Prospective Adopters’ Report) and Annex A reports (often used by step-parents or others making private arrangements for adoption).

We assess prospective adopters for the essential skills, attitude, experience and empathy necessary. This ensures that they’re able to provide a permanent, strong and nurturing environment for children and young people. Undertaking adoption assessments is a specific skilled task, therefore of all our assessors have a minimum of three years’ experience.

Each local authority manages the process for assessing and approving prospective adopters differently, so we prepare a “Nuance Document” for our assessors and our Quality Assurance team. This details the specific requirements and considerations of every council to ensure we meet your needs and criteria.
